Well, my neighbor down the block had the same problem. He used a combination of peat moss and top soil mixed with grass seed. My mum suggested mixing grass seed in the top soil first then racking the bare spots, apply the top soil mixture, then add more seeds. Hopefully, I can try these solutions this weekend!
No you can’t ignore them because it makes the garden look ugly. However, on Sunday I noticed a little pink flower growing. So maybe it wasn’t a weed after all. Only time will tell.
